Canandaigua, N.Y. (WHAM) - For the last six weeks, more than 170 young artists in Canandaigua have been working on murals across Jefferson Park.
The group Paints & Rec hosted a grand reveal on Friday to show off the fruits of their labor.

The artists created the murals to beautify the city, one brushstroke at a time. "It's like a big family," explained 11-year-old Lily Boyd. "It's like we all have to work together and we put a lot of hard work into it and at the end it looked amazing!"
"It kind of changed like, the skate park vibe, but I really like how it ended up in the end," described 13-year-old Owen VanFleet.
The idea came from Canandaigua art teacher, Courtney Austin.
